An Oakland County educator identified for investing in her college students has been honored with an Excellence In Training award from the Michigan Lottery.
The award winner, Rachel Engel, is a first-grade instructor at Schoolcraft Elementary. The college is a part of the Waterford Faculty District.
The Michigan Lottery established the Excellence In Training awards in 2014 to acknowledge excellent public-school educators throughout the state through the faculty 12 months.
