Loto-Québec and the Fondation Aléo have unveiled the most recent version of their bursary program for Quebec para-athletes below the theme “mettre la lumière sur la pressure de la différence” (highlighting the energy of distinction). The 2026 cohort acknowledges 13 para-athletes representing a variety of disciplines, with collaborating sports activities organizations spanning Parasports Québec, Ski de fond Québec, Hockey Québec, and the Fédération de natation du Québec, amongst others. Bursaries are paired with management coaching, workshops, and lifelong entry to Fondation Aléo’s community of companies.
This system is now in its 18th version. Loto-Québec has supported the Fondation since 2007, and the partnership focuses solely on athletes residing with bodily or sensory limitations. Eric Meunier, Director of Accountable Gaming at Loto-Québec, mentioned it’s “at all times a pleasure to assist a number of prime para-athletes of their quest for excellence.”
